I wanted something different than I had cooked before. So, I went to the source, Idaho Potato. Here is what I found:

INGREDIENTS:
2 ounces butter, softened
1 1/2 tablespoons garlic, minced
canola oil
2 large Idaho potatoes (12 to 14 ounces each), peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces
Kosher salt
black pepper

DIRECTIONS:
-Combine butter and garlic in a small bowl and set aside.

-Using a large pot, Cover bottom with oil and heat. Fry diced potatoes in oil until tender, until browned.

-Drain potatoes on paper towels, and transfer to a mixing bowl. Add 1 or 2 tablespoons of the softened garlic-butter, tossing to coat. Season with salt and pepper.

Go and Eat! I only have a few meals that I can pull from my head. Even if I have made that same dinner or dessert a bunch of times I still need a recipe. This dysfunction makes things difficult because then I have to search for a paper that sounds like something I want to eat. Which book was that in? Was it on a random paper somewhere? Will I like this? Also, because of this need for directions I then forget what I have cooked and what I can cook and what my family likes to eat.... So, mostly I am doing this extra blog for myself, so I can have one place to search for dinner...but feel free to try our recipes.
